چکیده

• This paper presents a thermal characterization of flame quenching by cold surfaces. The temperature evolution was investigated in constant volume chamber. 1-D filtered Rayleigh scattering at 10 kHz implemented very narrow channels. New parameters that could help predicting events are discussed. Understanding the flames surfaces requires an accurate heat transfer. study time resolved thermometry events, geometry mimics arrester located between two large tanks. specificity this arrangement laminar section reach relatively high apparent velocity, around 13 m/s. Three distances elements, namely parallel flat aluminum plates, were investigated. results showed systematic obtained when decreased below 1600 K. Nanocapillary Adhesion between Parallel Plates.

Molecular dynamics simulations are used to study capillary adhesion from a nanometer scale liquid bridge between two parallel flat solid surfaces. The capillary force, Fcap, and the meniscus shape of the bridge are computed as the separation between the solid surfaces, h, is varied. Macroscopic theory predicts the meniscus shape and the contribution of liquid/vapor interfacial tension to Fcap q...

Connection Self quenching of 1 - naphthol . between time - resolved and steady - state measurements

The photochemistry of I-naphthol following its electronic excitation in aqueous solution was investigated by a single-photon counting apparatus. It was found that following the proton dissociation the excited naphtholate anion decays non-exponentially withar“* dependence over time. This we attribute to a self-quenching reaction of the naphtholate anion by its geminate proton. The quenching rate...
